Anishinaabe Dance Troup to Perform Prairie Chicken Dance

The 46th Annual MN Prairie Chicken Society (MPCS) Meeting will be held Saturday, April 27th 2019 from 8:30-3:00 at the Callaway Community Center. Meeting highlights this year include presentations on Native Bee Research in Prairies, Climate and Tree History in Becker County, MN Department of Natural Resources Commissioner Office Highlights, Conservation Grazing to Benefit Prairie Chickens and other Wildlife, and Nature Photography.

At 1pm, Dennis Williams and Micky Hodges will lead an Anishinaabe Dance Troupe with a Prairie Chicken tribute dance for the late John E. Toepfer, a leader in prairie grouse research and lover of all wild things. MPCS welcomes all to attend the Anishinaabe Prairie Chicken Dance at no cost. Full day meeting cost is $35 at the door, or $30 if mailed to Travis Issendorf, 23983 CR 113, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501 by April 12.
