Pay: Teacher Pay Scale Benefits: Full Status: Full Time
Circle of Life Academy is currently seeking a qualified applicant to enhance the learning environment for students by providing effective, personalized attention, engaging in appropriate instructional and behavior support and working closely with parents and other agencies to meet the educational needs of the child.
Outcomes:
• Provide individual and group counseling services for students that promote preventive and educational strategies to enhance cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development, effective decision-making skills, and resiliency capabilities of students.
• Collaborate with peers to evaluate, develop, plan, and implement needs-based plans to support student development and success.
• Create instructional and counseling opportunities that are adapted to students based on cultural background.
• Implement formal and information assessment strategies to evaluate and ensure continuous intellectual, social, and physical development of students.
• Maintain a network with human service agencies for the benefit of students, including health, mental health, and psychological screening.
• Assist with crisis intervention and response.
• Manages school-wide data collection, student schedules and graduation plans.
• Home visits and contact with families on a regular schedule.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of Circle of Life Academy, BIE and White Earth Reservation policies
• Knowledge of human services agencies/programs, availability of services and access to services.
• Skilled at communication both oral and written.
• Ability to plan and facilitate individual and group counseling sessions.
• Ability to administer and evaluate student assessments
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student and other information.
• Knowledge of White Earth Reservation culture/history and demographics.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree in counseling.
• COLA will consider applicant bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology and/or related fields.
• Driver’s License required
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
