The shift for this position is Sunday-Wednesday, 10-hour shifts.
Position Summary
The Label Production Technician plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant labeling of cannabis products throughout the production process. This position is responsible for managing label creation, verification, and printing based on product specifications and regulatory requirements. The technician works closely with compliance systems such as METRC and Retail Ready ID to ensure all labels match product data and case tags, supporting inventory integrity and retail readiness. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The following are included; other duties may be assigned:
- Ensures that METRC tags always stay with their respective packages all the way through the process to reconcile product and track data.
- Use Retail Ready ID software to make accurate labels that are retail ready.
- Compare the physical METRC tags with METRC system and match them to the correct Case Tag, ensuring that labels and METRC tags match.
- Cross reference labels with work orders to ensure they match.
- Edit the COA compliance labels to match METRC and lab results.
- Once labels are complete and checked for accuracy, select size of label based on the product, and print the number of labels needed per work order, plus a small overage.
- Organize any product that is ready to sell into the cage.
- Attend weekly meetings to maintain constant communication, providing feedback and input on any issues that affect the plan and operations.
- Maintains a clean and organized work site performing daily cleaning activities of assigned work area including daily cleaning and sterilization procedures.
- Perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
- Assist other office staff in their time of need; maintain a team player attitude

Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have experience using computers in a professional capacity, preferably familiar with Microsoft Office programs. Including but not limited to: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
Knowledge & Skills
Language Skills
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Experience with METRC and Retail Ready ID is preferred but not required
Certificates / Licenses / Registrations / Requirements
Must be twenty-one (21) years or older.
Able to pass background check and drug screening.
Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Must fully meet the licensing requirements of the White Earth Medical Cannabis Control Board and be licensed to dispense medical cannabis according to the rules and regulations promulgated by the White Earth Medical Cannabis Control Board, in accordance with the White Earth Medicinal Cannabis Code.
