The White Earth Reservation Business Committee is currently seeking a qualified applicant who will be responsible for the lead of the security on campus and to protect the property and to always keep staff and clients safe.
• Performs and monitors to authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other people to protect against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Provide guidance to all security guards.
• Maintain good rapport with staff, employees, and external sources including tribal, state, and federal representatives.
• Managing a security team assigned to a specific shift.
• Training personnel and recommending applicants for corrective action and additional training.
• Planning, organizing. directing, and scheduling shifts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of and ability to follow and apply the policies and procedures of the White Earth RBC and Public Safety Department.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
• The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
• The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted.
• The ability to detect or tell the differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness.
• Knowledge of the White Earth Reservation demographics, culture, history, and lifestyles.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in surveillance, security, crisis intervention & response.
• Must have 1 year experience in supervision.
• Valid Driver’s License and insurance for travel between sites and other related businesses.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
