Pay: $32.52/DOQ. Benefits: Full Status: Full Time
Position Summary:
As the Youth Mental Health Program Manager, they will be at the forefront of planning, coordinating, and overseeing services aimed at enhancing the well-being of young individuals within the White Earth reservation communities. This role is pivotal in aligning program activities with our mission and organizational objectives, fostering collaboration across various divisions to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Position Outcomes:
- Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of clinical staff.
- Ensure staff are approved for continuing education and training necessary for their job duties. Evaluate each employee to ensure they have the adequate training to maintain and uphold the mission of the Mental Health Department and meet the needs of the youth they serve.
- Develop training standards for Youth Mental Health Staff.
- Ensure time monitoring for staff is accurate and staff meet attendance standards.
- Monitor performance expectations of providers and other staff to discuss performance expectations, implementing PIPs for staff not meeting performance standards.
- Consult with clinical director and assistant manager to review caseloads with service providers and address performance concerns for assigned staff.
- Ensures staff are trained in Anishinaabe culture and other training areas related to staff development and program compliance.
- Assess employee performance in an equitable and comprehensive manner and provide feedback to employees.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of supervisory principles involved in planning work assignments, resource allocation, and coordination and training of people.
- Knowledge of tribal and county health and social services programs.
- Knowledge of the demographics, culture, customs and geography of the White Earth Reservation.
- Talking to others to convey information effectively, communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- The ability to apply rules and combine information to reach an appropriate conclusion to people and programs.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in mental health services.
- Experience working with youth population, particularly in a mental health setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of culturally specific practices
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health services for youth.
- Valid MN driver's license and related destinations.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
