Position: MAT Nurse Open: 01/21/2025
Location: White Earth, MN Close: Until Filled
Pay: DOQ Benefits: Full Status: Full Time
Provides intake evaluation, medical assessments and dispenses medication assisted therapies (MAT) to patients for management of opiate dependence.
Position’s Outcomes:
- Provides and coordinates direct patient care.
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Communicates with internal and external sources to assure orderly and safe provision of health care services.
- Teaches and delegates tasks to health care personnel.
- Performs medical assessment and evaluation of patients to ensure appropriateness for opiate replacement therapy.
- Executes prescribed medical treatments.
- Provides client education related to health maintenance and management of opiate dependence.
- Performs urine drug screens.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Knowledge of and ability to follow and apply policies and procedures of the White Earth Tribal Council, Behavioral Health Division, Nurse Practice Act, and State and Federal laws relating to scope of practice.
- Knowledge of ability to follow Universal Precautions.
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Knowledge of nursing process, skill in using a systemic approach to care that includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, consultation and referral.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the group successful, effective, and efficient.
- Skilled in the operation of a personal computer.
Qualifications: - Current MN LPN or RN (ASN, BSN) nursing license.
- Prefer two years of nursing experience.
- Must be free of chemical use problems for at least two (2) years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact and freedom from chemical use problems must be maintained during employment.
- Must be able to pass a Background and Drug Screening.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance for travel between sites and other business-related destinations.
