Location: White Earth/Various Locations Close: 04-24-26
Pay: $21.44/hr. Benefits: Full Status: Full time

• The White Earth Reservation is seeking a qualified candidate for youth Driving Instructor this position will instruct and assist Youth on the White Earth Reservation with classroom and behind the wheel instruction so youth may obtain their Minnesota Driver's License. The Youth Driving instructor will track youth across the Reservation in their attendance and progress in obtaining their Driver's License. This position will be responsible for coordinating all classes and supplemental education.

 Position Outcomes:

• Ensure effective coordination and integration across the various Reservation communities.
• Schedule Driver’s Education classes in the various Reservation communities and Circle of Life Academy.
• Coordinate with Whtie Earth Tribal Government Programs and Tribal Entities to schedule career development introduction to driving students.
• Promote Driving Instruction Classes and Behind the Wheel Instructions.
• Work with students and youth who need to schedule a vehicle to use for behind the wheel testing.
• Promote and advertise for Drivers Education Classes in the designated Reservation Communities.
• Enroll students who need their driver’s education behind the wheel instruction class from that Community.
• Collaborate with Tribal Programs and Departments for Career Development education.
• Keep Attendance for all training.
• Report using Workforce One data reporting system.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Knowledge of youth development and Workforce services.
• Familiarity with Schools on or near the Reservation.
• Understanding of Anishinaabe culture and community needs.
• Ability to integrate cultural knowledge into program development.
• Proficiency in program evaluation, and outcomes tracking.
• Strong Leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and public speaking abilities.
• Trauma-informed, culturally competent approach to youth and family services.
• Work well with youth and young adults.
Position Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be over the age of twenty-one (21) years old.
• Complete Driver Instructor training and pass the licensing process within (6) months of hire.
• Complete first Aid/CPR training within (3) months of hire.
• Hold a Driver’s license for the past (3) years, with a clean record.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a drug screening at hire and throughout employment.
